OUR HISTORY
Originating in London in 1983, CH started with the excavation, backfill, and site grading of new homes. Over 30 years later, we are a fully integrated heavy civil company. Servicing all markets large and small; residential, commercial, institutional, municipal reconstructions and new build subdivisions.
Employing over 80 full-time workers, CH proudly works alongside LIUNA Local 1059 and IUOE Local 793. Our union partnerships ensure our employees are competent and trained professionals. As a family-owned company, safety for our workers is a priority no matter where or what the project is.

Road Reconstruction
CH Excavating has an established record of success, over a wide variety of municipal reconstruction projects. Our portfolio of municipal roadworks includes everything from full-scale reconstructions (new services, surface works, and specialty works) to road widenings, median replacement, beautification contracts, and much more.
Through our relationships with quality concrete, asphalt, electrical, landscaping, and pumping contractors, CH Excavating is well positioned to manage and complete any municipal works project. We proudly operate as either a general contractor or site servicing sub-contractor.

Subdivision Development
Since our inception in 1983, CH has maintained a strong presence in the residential development market throughout Southwestern Ontario. With a strong portfolio of projects, we offer our clients a full spectrum of heavy civil services. With our experienced staff and diverse equipment fleet, CH Excavating is capable of all stages of work.
Earthworks, site servicing and tie-ins, curb, asphalt, electrical and landscaping scopes are commonly completed or managed by CH on behalf of their clients. Despite our growth, CH Excavating still offers foundation excavation and backfill packages for numerous local builders and developers.

CH Excavating regularly preforms as a preferred subcontractor for building or mechanical contractors throughout Southwestern Ontario. Interior or exterior improvements, our fleet is ready to service any ICI project regardless of size or site restrictions. With experience in some of Ontario’s largest manufacturing facilities, we are a capable project partner for all excavation needs related to foundations, shoring, water controls, site servicing, environmental remediation, and erosion controls.
Specialty Works | Environmental and Demolition
CH has a strong resume of experience working on stormwater management ponds. Our experience includes multiple new construction, clean out efforts, and rehabilitation projects. Rehabilitation requirements, and responsible soils management are incorporated into every CH work plan.
For demolition and sensitive removals projects, CH has developed a network of specialty abatement and disposal companies. With demolition experience ranging from full scale demolition to selective removals, CH Excavating can manage demolition projects both above and below grade.
